Ken Landon Buck, Mixed Media Artist

Ken has achieved signature status in the Kentucky Watercolor Society, the Georgia Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, the Southeastern Pastel Society, the Oregon Pastel Society (in which he was given the Master Pastelist award), Watercolor Honor Society, and the Pastel Society of America.  He has won Best of Show awards and prizes in the most prestigious juried national and international exhibitions. He received a Master Pastelist award in the Pastel Society of America and the Allied Artist award in the same national competition.

His work appears in Encyclopedia of Living Artists in America - 3rd Edition, Artists of Ohio, Creative Watercolor, Pastel Journal, Manifest: The Nude 2, and “Ichimal no E” magazine in Japan. His paintings are in numerous private collections and public collections such as; Cincinnati Financial Corporation, Brown Forman, Yeiser Art Center, Nassau Community College, Baker Hunt Foundation, and the Erlanger Public Library.  He has been added to the permanent collections of the Springfield Museum of Art, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Several of his works were among those chosen to be launched in the national publication BLINK.

An article about his drawing techniques was printed in the Pastel Society of America’s magazine Pastelagram.  He has been teaching classes at various places for many years, with over two decades of Community Education at the Art Academy of Cincinnati to his credit.

Ken was recently featured on WCET’s program The Art Show. One of his works was selected to be in a pastel show for the Butler Museum of Art.  He was also listed in the Pastel Journal’s Top 100 artists for 2020.
