Robert Sankner
Inspired by books and comics, Robert Sankner took an interest in art and illustration at a young age. As a teen, he honed his drawing skills by mimicking the illustration style of the Creepy and Eerie magazines. In 1973, he completed a Fine Art degree at the Newark School of Fine Art and Industrial Art where he learned how to work with different media, found his niche in painting and drawing, and began developing his own style through studying artwork from artists like Andrew Wyeth, Jim Dine, Andy Warhol and Franz Kline. His paintings grace a book cover and two album covers. He has also produced many illustrations for small press projects. Robert takes his inspiration from nature and his experiences around the world. He believes that his talents and abilities are a gift from God and that he has a special duty to use his gifts to provide a means for people to appreciate the wonders of the world we live in.
