ViewPoint originated as an open juried art show to display the diversity of work created within the Greater Cincinnati arts community. Since that time, the show has expanded to encompass works submitted from across the country and from many artists outside the United States. It is the longest continuous annual open juried art exhibit in the Southwestern Ohio area.
The show is displayed in one of the many outstanding commercial galleries in the Cincinnati area. In 2025, ARTclectic Gallery will be the host gallery. Emphasis has been and continues to be on showcasing the highest quality of work, regardless of the school or classification of art. Viewpoint is open for fine art in all media. The following media are EXCLUDED: photography, video, crafts, fiber, AI or computer-generated art, painting on photos or prints, and jewelry. Paintings created in workshops or classes also are not accepted.
Entry is open to all artists 18 years of age and older. Only totally original work conceived and executed by the entrant is accepted. All artwork is for sale. A distinguished multi-juror panel makes selections for the show from submitted digital images. The Awards Judge determines the First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and other Awards of Merit. Awards are based upon the review of actual artwork presented in the gallery.
