Christine Kuhr is an American Scene Painter creating plein air and studio work. She has a professional artist diploma from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, majoring in painting and illustration. She made a career in visual marketing and production but never left her fine art roots. Christine’s work is a channel to an object-of-desire, either in the paintings physical display or what the object implies. It is a call-out to linger and reflect.

Christine finds her joy in the making of the art, not so much the selection of the subject, however, in the making of the painting she realizes more fully why she was attracted to the scene. She skillfully transfers that attraction to the viewer. In her plein air (on location) paintings she paints in a full color-range of oil paint on panels. In her studio she also creates in pastel chalk and encaustic wax.

Christine is President of the Cincinnati Art Club, signature member of the Women’s Art Club of Cincinnati, and a member or the Brush and Palette Painters. She has exhibited extensively with these organizations and others in group and juried exhibits and has received awards of excellence. Her work is in private and corporate collections.
