Carol Holland Rentschler, Fiber Artist
Carol Holland Rentschler is a native of Cincinnati. After graduating from Indian Hill High School she went on to Principia College where she graduated with a Math, Computer Science and Business Administration degree. Her 45-year career working with computers has allowed her to exercise her math/logic as well as design skills. Carol learned to knit from her grandmother at 10 years old but didn’t pick it back up until she was 30 sitting around Walloon Lake with her mother-in-law and sister-in-law who were knitting. Picking it up again was rather easy and was a great way to get off her feet, relax and unwind. Friends encouraged her to enter shows in the fall. Since then, Carol has won many awards for her unique and hand-crafted pieces including: 2013 WACC Annual Juried Exhibit (AJE) Mary Ran Gallery Appreciation, 2014 Hyde Park Square Art Show Honorable Mention, 2016 WACC AJE Award of Merit, 2017 WACC AJE 1st Honorable Mention, 2017 Hyde Park Square Art Show First Place and 2019 WACC AJE Blick Art Materials Award.
