In the artist's words ...
In the north of England are the marvelous and sparsely populated Yorkshire Dells. This is where the PBS series All Creatures Great and Small is filmed. We were walking on a public footpath in April and happened upon this lovely stone footbridge over a rushing creek.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Life in transition fascinates me. It’s where things can bump into each other in unexpected and surprising ways—especially when nature, agriculture, community and labor intersect, or sometimes collide. So wherever my wanderings take me, I look for things that are experiencing some sort of transition. They’re usually found off the beaten path or along the edges. Each of my paintings tells a unique story, or perhaps better said, is a unique story that is captured at a brief point in time. I am usually in some state of wonderment that I can spend a good amount of my time painting light and nature!
