Dana Olsen, Artist
Dana's lifetime profession has been teaching primary education but she has always made time to produce art and take art classes. After retirement, she has focused on painting and enjoys painting a variety of subject matter, from her own photos, plein-air on-site scenes, and still life. Most of her work leans toward an impressionistic style. She believes paintings are constructed with “pieces of paint”, using the correct value, color, shape, and composition, to create a pleasing image. Every one of her abstract works tells a story from a real life experience. Awards include:
