Growing up in New England, Nancy had many opportunities to be at the shore.  She loved the sights and sounds of the waves crashing in, with shells and pebbles being rolled under the water.  She loved the feeling of the sand under and around her feet as it was drawn back by the receding water, as well as the taste and smell of the salty water as she was tossed around while riding the waves.

When she paints, she relives those precious times and desires that people viewing her work feel a visceral connection to their own water experiences.  She loves water and the gifts that it brings and cannot imagine life without access to it,  especially clean water. 

Because of her love of the water, Nancy will donate a portion from her art sales to clean water initiatives, such as 4Ocean, supporting clean oceans, and Charity:Water, supporting clean water resources and tools in developing countries around the world.
